WSP is seeking an Early Career Civil/Structural Transmission Line Engineer for our Overland Park, Kansas office. You will contribute to Transmission Line projects within the Power Delivery Team, gaining exposure to design, documentation, and collaboration with clients and partners.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (Civil Engineering preferred).
• 0-1 years of experience.
• Demonstrated interest in transmission lines or related field.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors and managers.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology and tools.

Aufgaben

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Transmission Line Engineering.
• Participate in all aspects of transmission line design for new installations, relocations, upgrades and fiber optic enhancements.
• Use PLS CADD Modeling software and aerial imagery to map transmission line routes.
• Collaborate directly with utility stakeholders and construction partners.
• Gain expertise in model design, construction material procurement, and creation of professional drawings for construction purposes.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct.
