Zusammenfassung

Galloway & Company in Virginia is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer to support traffic engineering projects through data analysis, simulations, and technical report preparation. You will evaluate intersections, active transportation facilities, parking, and multimodal systems using Synchro, VISSIM, and AutoCAD.

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on land development projects and contribute to safe, efficient transportation solutions.

Qualifikationen

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or Transportation Planning.
FE (F.E.) or EI.T preferred.
Typically, 0 to 3 years of experience.
Knowledge of traffic analysis and design software (HCS, CAD, Synchro, VISSIM preferred).
Experience with Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.

Aufgaben

Conduct capacity and queueing analyses at stop-controlled, signalized, and roundabout intersections.
Prepare trip generation forecasts.
Assist with traffic impact studies, technical reports, and parking studies.
Review roadway geometrics and signal timings.
Evaluate operations using macrosimulation and microsimulation software.
Evaluate bicycle and pedestrian operations and safety.
Prepare parking demand analyses and parking assessments.
Travel to and from job sites, other offices, and meetings as required.
May act as technical resource for client.
