As a Traffic Controller you will work with construction teams to manage traffic, set up cones and signs, and maintain safety in work zones. Candidates must be 18+, have a smartphone for timekeeping, and pass a pre-employment drug screen. The position also involves paperwork, PPE, and reporting to a Field Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a smartphone with internet access for timekeeping and communication.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate varying climates.
• Pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug free status.
• Be able to stand throughout your entire shift, hand and arm movement is required.
• The position does not allow for frequent breaks.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be physically capable of performing all flagging duties.
• Have reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, and rumble strips according to ATSSA and DOT regulations.
• Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle at the job site.
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner before leaving the last job site.
• Wear and maintain correct PPE in accordance with Wright specific policy.
• Ensure that company vehicles are kept clean and orderly and inform management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems.
• Review start time and address of job site or meeting location as established by the office scheduler.
• Read and understand Wright safety manual and employee handbook.
• Reports directly to a Field Supervisor.
• Other job duties as assigned.
