Job summary

Wright is seeking a Traffic Controller for Mt. Dora, Florida. This full-time entry-level position supports construction teams by setting up work zones, directing traffic, and maintaining safety.

On-the-job training, weekly pay, and overtime opportunities are offered. A willingness to learn and outdoor work in all weather are essential. Applicants must be 18+, have a smartphone for timekeeping, pass a drug screen, and be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Smartphone with internet access for timekeeping.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform flagging duties.
• Drug screen required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, and rumble strips according to ATSSA and DOT regulations
• Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle at the job site
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner before leaving the last job site
• Wear and maintain proper PPE in accordance with Wright specific policy
• Ensure that company vehicles are kept clean and orderly and inform management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems
• Review start time and address of job site or meeting location (if applicable) as established and sent by office scheduler via company app
• Read and understand Wright safety manual and employee handbook
• Reports directly to a Field Supervisor
• Other job duties as assigned
