Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Addison, IL is seeking a DeWALT Service Technician to perform on-site repairs and maintenance on portable electric, pneumatic tools, construction equipment, and outdoor products.

You will troubleshoot, disassemble as needed, inspect wear, replace worn parts, and complete work orders while maintaining safety and inventory. On-the-job training provided; experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and servicing data.
• Knowledge of electricity principles and air flow for power tools.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Goal‑driven mentality; meet daily/weekly/quarterly productivity goals.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Adaptability in using various technological systems and data entry/record‑keeping systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle repairs to portable electric, pneumatic tool, construction equipment, and outdoor products.
• Troubleshoot tool failures, disassemble units to inspect wear/defects, replace worn/defective parts.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Inspect, analyze, and repair tools and equipment for safe operation.
• Perform performance and safety testing on equipment after repair.
• Complete work orders with parts, labor, pricing, and customer information.
• Manage inventory ensuring accuracy of parts and accessories.
• Achieve daily productivity goals on repaired tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
