Job summary

RTX's Mechanical Analysis and Test (MA&T) department in Marlborough, MA is seeking an entry-level Thermal Analyst to support electronics thermal design across the product lifecycle, from initial concept studies through qualification testing to enduring production support.

You will join a team of 200+ engineers and perform hand calculations, detailed analyses, test planning, data correlation, and present results to customers around the world.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in STEM and less than 2 years of prior experience.
• Academic or professional experience in thermal design and analysis.
• Working knowledge of mechanical principles to solve classical thermal engineering problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand calculations to determine scope of higher detail analysis models.
• Perform detailed thermal analyses to solve various program thermal challenges.
• Generate test plans required to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance to customer requirements.
• Support test setup and execution, analyze test data, correlate and validate thermal models.
• Work with experienced analysts on problems of moderate complexity to provide the answers needed under program cost and schedule constraints.
• Coordinate and lead technical peer reviews ensuring the technical accuracy of work product.
• Present results to internal, external, and government customers.
• Generate detailed documentation of work and archive for reference.
