Job summary

TRC, a global engineering firm, seeks Entry Level Test Technicians to support client teams nationwide from our TRC offices. You will conduct tests on electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment in substations, plants and facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent training/experience.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment while maintaining initiative and self-motivation.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems; understanding of AC/DC schematics and drawings.
• Willingness to travel out-of-town for up to several weeks.
• Strong verbal and written communication; proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft programs.

Responsibilities

• Follow IEEE/NETA testing standards and guidelines.
• Provide high level customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients and teams.
• Document project progress, issues, and test results; prepare test reports.
• Learn and perform advanced troubleshooting on protection and control systems.
• Prepare detailed daily/weekly project reports and documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and risk mitigation activities.
