Job summary

TRC, a global environmental and engineering firm and member of WSP, is seeking a Testing & Commissioning Intern for the Summer 2027 program in our New York Office. This is a paid full-time internship, June through August 2027, with potential to transition to a full-time role after graduation.

Work with Project Managers, engineers, scientists, and technologists under supervision. Candidates must study electrical engineering, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be willing to travel and work overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented person.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
• Willing to work overtime and travel out of town weekly.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Applicants for this intern role must possess a clean driving record.

Overview

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Testing & Commissioning Internfor our Summer 2027 intern program out of our New York Office. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2027 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
