Job summary

HireNow Staffing, a direct placement partner, seeks an Entry-Level (3L) Tax Associate to join a nationally recognized tax practice. The role supports attorneys on sophisticated domestic and international tax matters, including M&A, transfer pricing, and tax controversy, while serving a diverse client portfolio.

The successful candidate will work alongside seasoned tax attorneys, contributing to research, drafting, and planning across multiple jurisdictions and industries.

Qualifications

• Current third-year law student (3L) expected to graduate from an accredited law school.
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career focused on tax law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys with legal research involving federal, state, and international tax matters.
• Analyze complex tax issues affecting corporate transactions, reorganizations, and planning.
• Assist with drafting memoranda, opinions, correspondence, and tax planning documentation.
• Participate in due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures.
• Assist with tax controversy matters, audits, and litigation preparation.
• Research statutes, regulations, and case law; monitor legislation.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on multidisciplinary client matters.
• Prepare client-ready work products with attention to detail.
• Participate in client meetings and professional development.
