Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT, seeks Entry Level Engineers to join the Life Cycle Support division's D495 Hull Planning Yard. You will contribute to modernization and support for in-service submarines and help maintain the fleet.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, performing calculations, coordinating tasks with multi-disciplinary teams, and traveling occasionally for on-site support at Navy shipyards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; summer 2027 grads considered.
• 0–5 years of post-graduate engineering experience.
• Familiarity with FEA/CFD tools and CAD software; knowledge of design-for-manufacturability.
• Experience with review of technical drawings and maintenance documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance in response to emergent requests.
• Review drawings and develop supporting engineering calculations.
• Independently manage project schedules.
• Support maintenance and modernization activities at Navy shipyards with occasional travel.
