Innoflight is seeking a Systems Engineer I in San Diego to support systems engineering activities across complex aerospace systems. You will assist with requirements, design, integration, and troubleshooting as part of a cross-disciplinary team.

The role emphasizes problem solving, effective communication, and collaboration with software, electrical, mechanical, firmware, and network engineers. A clear path for growth and impact awaits in a mission-driven environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 1+ year of systems engineering or relevant engineering experience.
• Foundational knowledge of systems engineering processes including requirements development, traceability, system integration, verification, and validation.
• Cross-functional exposure to aerospace, electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, and/or network engineering disciplines.
• Experience or coursework in spacecraft design, development, integration and test preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues using structured problem-solving and analytical methods.
• Ability to analyze technical data and communicate findings to engineering teams and customers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate status, issues, risks, and project updates to internal and external customers.
• Support development of efficient system and subsystem designs by analyzing technical needs and making recommendations.
• Assist in requirements definition, documentation, flow-down, verification, and traceability of system and subsystem requirements.
• Participate in defining system architectures and analyzing challenges for advanced software-defined, multifunction mission systems.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, electrical, mechanical, network, and other systems engineers to develop and implement solutions.
• Translate system-level requirements into detailed design requirements for hardware, software, firmware, and network implementations.
• Assist with system implementation, integration, test, and troubleshooting activities, identifying root causes and resolving issues.
• Support data collection, analysis, and evaluation of system performance to identify issues and opportunities.
