Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks electrical and systems engineers to specify, design, integrate, and test shipboard I&C systems. You will work with other engineering disciplines, support MBSE efforts, and contribute to system hardware and software specifications.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rigorous documentation, and close liaison with customers and subcontractors. A Secret clearance is preferred or required as applicable to program needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
  • 0–5 years of post-graduate engineering experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance through the DoD.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost and schedule estimates for projects.
  • Prepare written deliverables including technical recommendations to the customer.
  • Review technical deliverables from internal and external organizations.
  • Elicit, manage, and validate equipment and interface requirements with cognizant engineers and stakeholders.
  • Develop system architecture concepts and MBSE models for shipboard I&C systems.
