Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an entry-level Systems Engineer to support Navy and Lockheed Martin customers at Naval Base Kitsap – Bangor, near Silverdale, WA. The role focuses on sustaining Trident II missile system equipment, with travel to sites as needed and a requirement for Interim Secret clearance to start.

You will work under supervision in a team-based environment, applying mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical engineering principles while growing technical and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering Technology from an accredited college or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting employment and ability to maintain a final DoD Secret security clearance
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-base environment

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions to technical problems in a team environment under group lead.
• Provide guidance for support equipment, operations, disassembly, assembly, discrepancy identification, maintenance, and repair.
• Provide technical guidance during the isolation and correction of discrepant conditions, equipment defects, and procedural difficulties on the production floor.
• Apply mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
• Have flexibility for variation in work scope and shifts.
