Job summary

HDR is seeking an entry level Survey Technician I to join a survey crew in Kansas City, MO. You will perform boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, design and construction surveys for diverse clients, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities include assisting the party chief, maintaining equipment, and preparing reports. The role requires learning surveying principles, math, and CAD applications, plus a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist the party chief in land surveys.
• Maintain surveying equipment and survey vehicle inventory.
• Prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.
• Be willing and able to travel for out of town work.
• Assist in field layout and measurement; assist in base map preparation.
