Job summary

T2 Utility Engineers in Fridley, MN invites applicants to start a career in surveying and mapping as a Field Tech. No experience or advanced degree required; on-the-job training is provided and you’ll gain hands-on skills in GPS, LiDAR, and total stations while supporting crews in the field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Outdoor work in all climates.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform related tasks.
• Good oral communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload survey equipment and supplies daily.
• Maintain and clean survey equipment per directions.
• Learn operation of survey tools such as total stations and GPS.
• Set up survey tripods for backsite and foresight operations.
• Assist with daily vehicle pre-checks and truck sheets.
• Assist with monthly survey equipment inventory.
• Support subsurface utility engineering services when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
