CitiMed is seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Surgical Case Manager to support coordination of surgical patients across Workers' Compensation, No-Fault, and Medical Lien claims in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The role partners with physicians, billing staff, attorneys, and insurers to ensure timely authorization and thorough documentation from pre-authorization through post-operative discharge, with a focus on accuracy and timelines.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a medical office, case management, or healthcare administrative role.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, surgical CPT codes, and ICD-10 diagnosis codes.
• Knowledge of NY Onboard portal and NYS Workers' Compensation Board processes a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; EMR software experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage and track a caseload of surgical patients across WC, NF, and Medical Lien from initial evaluation through post-op care.
• Submit and follow up on Prior Authorization Requests for procedures, DME, and PT through NY Onboard and carrier portals.
• Review denial letters and utilization reviews; coordinate with physicians and legal staff for appeals and records.
• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within required timeframes.
• Communicate with carriers, insurers, and lien holders regarding claim status and authorizations.
• Coordinate scheduling of pre-operative and post-operative visits and procedures.
• Liaise with attorneys, adjusters, and third-party admins on case status and lien resolution.
• Monitor patient compliance with therapy and follow-up; document non-compliance as appropriate.
• Maintain organized case files in the practice management system; document authorizations and correspondence.
• Assist in preparing Statements of Medical Necessity and supporting documents.
