T2 Utility Engineers in Ashland, VA is seeking an entry-level SUE Field Technician I to join our Subsurface Utility Engineering team. Training provided; no prior experience required. The role supports utility locating, surveying, and data collection in field environments.

You will learn SUE concepts, operate locating tools, and contribute to safety and project efficiency. This is a great entry point with room for advancement within a leading utility locating company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and obtain DOT medical card.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work outdoors in all climates.

Responsibilities

• Learn operation of SUE locating/designating equipment and tools.
• Operate locating and excavation equipment (pipe/cable locators, vacuum excavation).
• Drive company vehicles (CDL not required).
• Complete daily work logs and basic math.
• Assist survey/data collection as part of crew.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
