Job summary

WSP is seeking an Entry-Level Substation Electrical Engineer for our Saint Louis, MO office. This role involves contributing to the Power Delivery Substation Team and supporting high-quality substations design and related deliverables.

The candidate will participate in one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, grounding, and other essential drawings while learning client standards and maintaining WSP's quality. Relocation is not required at this time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited university (power option preferred).
• 0-1 years of experience in electrical engineering or related internship/co-op.
• Proven ability to work effectively with internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of low to extra-high voltage substations including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, and grounding.
• Develop field-verified site designs and ensure quality across deliverables.
• Support QA/QC for client deliverables and adhere to company policies.
• Learn client standards and processes while working individually or in a team on complex designs.
• Contribute to transmission line design considerations for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber additions.
