Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is hiring an entry-level Structural Engineer for our Houston, TX office. You will assist with design, evaluation and repair of buildings and waterfront structures, working with senior staff on analyses and drawings.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and a commitment to learning. A Master's in Civil/Structural Engineering and FE/EIT are preferred, with travel flexibility and a driver’s license expected.

Qualifications

• MS in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• FE/EIT certification is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new design, evaluation, investigation, and repairs for buildings and waterfront structures.
• Perform structural analysis and design in steel, concrete, masonry and wood.
• Assist during construction administration and prepare drawings and calculations.
