Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) seeks an entry-level Structural Engineer for our Denver office. You will contribute to design, evaluation, and repair projects for existing buildings, applying knowledge across steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.

Qualifications

• Master's in Civil/Structural Engineering is required or strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
• FE/EIT certification is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and judgment abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience with structural software applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, evaluation, investigation, and repairs for existing buildings.
• Perform structural analysis and design tasks in steel, concrete, masonry and wood.
• Support on-site investigations to document conditions and root causes.
• Assist senior staff during construction administration and prepare drawings/specs.
