Garver is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) for our Buildings Team in Houston. You will develop structural designs, analyze and detail multiple systems, and support construction administration across projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architects and contractors, BIM workflow, and ongoing professional development. AABET-accredited degree and EIT eligibility within 6 months are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in civil or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Registered Engineer In Training (EIT) or ability to become registered within 6 months.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and a good team player.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis, design, and detailing.
• Perform construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, site observations, and reports.
• Utilize BIM design software to produce structural drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
• Assist project managers and follow QA/QC plans.
• Manage multiple assignments concurrently.
• Continue education and learning based on project and team needs.
• Collaborate with architects and contractors.
