Job summary

Garver’s Buildings Team is seeking a Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) to develop structural designs and documentation for Buildings projects. You will perform structural analysis, design, detailing, and construction administration for diverse systems including structural steel, reinforced concrete, cold-formed steel, masonry, and wood.

Responsibilities include analysis, design, detailing, reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, site observations, and BIM drawings; coordinating with disciplines;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Registered Engineer In Training (EIT) or able to become registered within 6 months.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and a good team player.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis, design, and detailing.
• Perform construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, conducting site observations, and preparing reports.
• Utilize BIM design software to produce structural drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
• Assist project managers and follow QA/QC plans.
• Manage multiple assignments concurrently.
• Continue education and learning based on project and team needs.
• Collaborate with architects and contractors.
