Egis is seeking an entry-level structural engineer to join our New England team. You will contribute to bridge and transportation design projects across CT, MA, VT, and RI, performing design calculations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will gain hands-on experience with OpenRoads/OpenBridge, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and structural analysis software while supporting project deliverables, cost estimates, and construction-phase activities.

Qualificações

• BS in Civil Engineering; MS preferred.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• 0–2 years of relevant structural/transportation engineering experience.
• Familiarity with OpenRoads/OpenBridge, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and structural analysis software.

Responsabilidades

• Work on complex bridge and transportation design projects in CT, MA, VT and RI.
• Perform structural design calculations using AASHTO and AREMA codes for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other transportation-related structures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare project deliverables including design drawings, reports, specifications, presentations, and cost estimates.
• Provide construction phase support by reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and responding to contractor questions.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing highway and railroad bridges.
• Use engineering software to perform structural analysis and load ratings.
