Job summary

AECOM is seeking a structural engineer to design bridges and transit structures, perform load ratings, and conduct inspections. The role covers rehabilitation design, maintenance planning, and construction documentation across highways, bridges, and tunnels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering is required
• Engineers-in-Training (EIT) registration is preferred
• Strong writing and presentation skills are essential
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
• Willingness to work on bridges, tunnels, highways and related projects
• Master's degree and internship experience are a plus
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation and MS Office is expected
• Experience with structural analysis software is preferred

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Design new bridges and transit structures

About You

The company is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• US Citizenship required
• Preferred: Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) registration
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills
• Flexibility to work on various projects including highways, bridges, and tunnels
• Ability to occasionally work alternate schedules and short-notice assignments
• Detail oriented with good problem-solving ability
• Good interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences
• Preferred: Master's degree and previous internship experience
• Software experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, MS Office, and structural analysis software
