Job summary

Ramboll Americas invites applications for a Structural Designer to support our Buildings and Infrastructure projects. You will contribute to municipal, industrial, institutional, and commercial sectors, applying sustainable design principles and BIM best practices.

You will join a skilled team, collaborate across Ramboll units, and use Autodesk Revit to produce construction drawings, review submittals, and participate in field visits to gain practical experience and ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree related to Structural Technology.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Willingness to grow and learn new market sectors and areas where you lack experience.
• Confident communicator with colleagues and clients, ability to interact directly with clients, work independently with direction and support from senior staff, actively participate in team development and individual professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural engineering and construction drawings, under direct supervision, for all phases of a project, utilizing Autodesk Revit software.
• Adhere to Ramboll quality standards and client/industry guidelines.
• Participate in the Ramboll CAD/BIM Coordinator Certification program.
• Act as CAD/BIM Coordinator on selected projects.
• Review vendor drawings/submittals for contract compliance.
• Visit job sites to gain field experience and broaden practical engineering skills.
• Contribute to creating a safety culture in the office and field.
• Analyze survey data, maps, drawings and geotechnical data to plan projects of routine to average complexity.
• Perform basic calculations and develop design elements under supervision.
