Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, package, and sterilize surgical instruments, ensuring operating room staff have reliable tools for procedures. You will inspect and assemble instruments, prepare supplies for procedures, maintain inventory, and operate sterilization equipment with training provided.

This non-clinical role supports patient care by enabling safe, efficient treatment behind the scenes.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and use a full range of body motion throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.
• Must be able to use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect and assemble instruments for procedures.
• Prepare and deliver supplies to operating room staff.
• Maintain inventory and organize storage areas.
• Operate sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves and instrument washers (training provided).
• Use computer systems to track instruments and sterilization processes.
