Job summary

United States Steel Corporation is seeking an entry-level Utility Person at Clairton Works. You will perform general labor, operate basic tools, and support production units in a heavy industrial setting.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 25+ lbs, and willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. Training provided with potential progression to Utility Technician.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to perform 8-hour rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Overtime may be required.
• Adherence to safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Punctuality and self-direction for operations.
• Must pass a pre-employment digital assessment.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment and performs general labor tasks to support production units.
• Handles, transports, and processes product and materials.
• Works with hot, heavy, sharp materials and hazardous chemicals.
• Able to lift more than 25 lbs.
• Assists in inspecting and maintaining equipment.
• Works in various mill areas with varying conditions.
• May work near molten metal.
• May advance to Utility Technician with crane/equipment operation.
