Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel in Monessen, PA is seeking an entry-level Utility Person responsible for cleaning oven areas, machine faces and related components in the battery area, while assisting operators and supporting routine tasks in a safe, compliant environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift over 25 lbs, and willingness to work overtime on a rotating schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to perform physical labor using basic hand tools and lift 25 lbs+.
• Must read and follow Safety, Health and Environmental rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean doorjambs, doorsills, machine faces, frames and oven door seals.
• Assist Pusher and Door Machine Operators with keeping ovens and machines clean.
• Perform routine waste handling tasks and label containers per regulations.
• Assist in pouring coal and other related machine operations as needed.
• Work overtime and rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, respirator, boots).
