Qualifications

• Work experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• Relevant coursework may substitute for required work experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, handle procurement work of average difficulty.
• Purchase, issue supplies and equipment.
• Analyze all purchases to ensure compliance with guidelines and justify purchases with documentation.
• Prepare requisitions for supplies and equipment for state government use.
• Conduct vendor research and product comparisons.
• Communicate with vendors and staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with state staff to ensure procurement processes are accurate and complete.
• Monitor receipt of supplies and follow up on late shipments.
• Monitor invoices to ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Maintain current records of orders and asset tagging where required.
• Attend trainings and meetings regularly to meet area goals.
