Responsibilities

• Develop and assist TDEC divisions with solicitation specifications based on internal and external sources of information.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and execution strategies.
• Manage and support multiple solicitation methods, including RFP, RFQ, and RFI.
• Represent TDEC and the Grants & Contracts division when communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide strategic advice and consultation to agency procurement and program staff.
• Determine appropriate procurement methods and develop procurement strategies.
• Support procurement activities from planning through contract award.
• Coordinate multiple schedules, priorities, and procurement timelines.
• Maintain strong project and time management throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Position Overview

The Senior Procurement Project Manager will support TDEC as the Procurement Project Manager for the agency. The position will serve as the technical liaison between TDEC and the Central Procurement Office (CPO), assisting with the development and execution of procurement activities while ensuring compliance with State procurement policies and procedures. The role will manage procurement activities from sourcing strategy development through contract award, including identifying agency needs, drafting solicitations, supporting CPO procurement activities, and assisting with state evaluations.
