Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an engineer to support waterfront facility site planning, design, permitting, and construction observation across ports, piers, and shoreline projects in the Northeast. The role involves drafting figures, field work, geotechnical evaluations, and producing design calculations and cost opinions.

Required are a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree with FE/EIT certification or plan to obtain by 2027, internship experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Passed the FE Exam and obtained EIT certification, or planning to by June 2027.
• Relevant internship experience in surveying, engineering, permitting, or construction observation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn, intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and excellent organizational skills.
• Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, or RISA preferred.
• Understanding of structural and geotechnical engineering principles preferred.
