Career Group is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant for our San Francisco office to support fund accounting activities within a collaborative family-office–style team. This role provides a strong foundation in accounting processes, hands-on experience, and growth opportunities.

Hybrid schedule in San Francisco, CA with 3–4 days in the office. The position offers a base salary of $70,000–$80,000, with bonus opportunities and benefits package in a supportive environment geared toward career

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Up to 1 year of post-graduation experience; candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
• Coachable, eager to learn, and open to developing new skills.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Exposure to QuickBooks and Excel preferred.
• Comfortable working with documents and PDFs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review cash accounts.
• Track operating expenses and investment activity.
• Track investments and maintain accurate investment records.
• Monitor funds and notify the team of relevant fund activity.
• Assist with capital calls.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Assist with financial reporting and related deliverables.
• Interface with the family office team on fund accounting matters.
• Support the independent financial audit from January through April.
• Assist with additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed.

Our client, a well-established organization with a stable and collaborative team, is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to join its San Francisco office. This role sits on the fund accounting side of the business and will interface closely with the family office team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate looking to build a strong foundation in fund accounting, gain hands-on experience, and grow within a supportive environment. What You'll Do

• Monitor and review cash accounts.

Compensation

The expected salary range is $70,000-$80,000 base, to be confirmed, depending on experience and qualifications.
