Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Oklahoma bar admission, eligibility for Oklahoma bar admission, or pending Oklahoma bar results.
• A demonstrated interest in criminal law, prosecution, trial advocacy, victim advocacy, domestic violence, sexual assault prosecution, crimes against children, or public service.
• Willingness to appear in court, prepare cases, try cases, and accept responsibility.
• Ability to work well with victims, witnesses, law enforcement, courthouse staff, defense attorneys, and the public.
• The highest ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Criminal prosecutions in Osage County.
• Cases involving domestic violence, sexual violence, crimes against children, and other victim-centered offenses.
• Court appearances, dockets, plea negotiations, preliminary hearings, motion practice, sentencing hearings, and jury trials.
• Victim and witness meetings.
• Review of police reports, body camera evidence, digital evidence, forensic interview, medical records, forensic evidence, and witness statements.
• Collaboration with law enforcement, child welfare, child advocacy centers, victim advocates, and other multidisciplinary partners.
• Ethical and professional decision-making based on the law, the facts, public safety, victim interests, and the duty to seek justice.

Education
