Job summary

The Behavior Helper Academy is hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional for a school-based role in Saint Charles. This entry-level position offers full training and ongoing support to help students with developmental disabilities reach their goals.

You will work in a collaborative team, utilize ABA strategies after training, and receive CPI certification and BCBA supervision to support your professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• No ABA experience required—training provided.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy, and calmness under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 or in small groups with students.
• Use ABA strategies (training provided) to build communication, academic, social, and life skills.
• Help reduce challenging behaviors and support positive growth.
• Implement behavior plans under supervision of a BCBA and teachers.
• Collect data and support IEP goals.
