Job summary

Amentum is seeking an engineer for the Kennedy Propellants and Life Support Services program at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The role involves planning, design, analysis, testing, and maintenance of electronic systems as part of a design team.

The successful candidate will perform supervised tasks, support specifications, audit drawings, use Maximo for work orders, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and maintain documentation while upholding safety and training requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 0–1 year of related experience required.
  • Good communications and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel and pass security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design, analysis, and documentation tasks under supervision.
  • Handle design portions and assist in specifications/engineering data.
  • Audit schematics and provide redline updates.
  • Create work orders and workflow in Maximo.
  • Assist in generation of specifications and data.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, finance, and program management to define requirements.
  • Establish and maintain filing systems for project status tracking.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and subsystem specs.
  • Interface with customers in design reviews to meet requirements.
  • Verify engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
  • Promote a safe workplace with ongoing HSE actions and training.
  • Maintain required training.
  • Conduct site visits and experiments; propose solutions and recommendations.
  • Ensure product and service quality meets customer expectations.
