Job summary

Clean Energy Services (CES) is seeking an entry-level Solar O&M Technician I to support safe operation, inspection, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of commercial and utility-scale solar PV systems. This entry-level role assists with preventive maintenance, monitoring support, and site inspections to help maximize performance, availability, and safety.

The technician works under the Lead Solar O&M Technician and adheres to safety procedures and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years experience in solar/electrical/maintenance or related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical safety and hand/power tool use.
• Ability to read and interpret site drawings, maps, and equipment manuals.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; live within a 45-minute drive of the location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine preventive maintenance inspections (PMI) and troubleshooting of solar equipment.
• Assist with inspections including site security, fencing, vegetation, and safety items.
• Assist with warranty-related items with EPC and/or manufacturer.
• Assist with drone flights and documentation/reports related to safety and daily activities.
• Travel to other sites as needed for support and respond to scheduled/unscheduled service calls.
