Systems Engineering Associates Corporation (SEACORP) is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer I to join our Newport, RI team. The role focuses on defining, designing, and integrating software for military systems in a multidisciplinary environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering and knowledge of C++, Java, Python, Linux, and Atlassian tools, with the ability to work in fast-paced settings and obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with a field of concentration in Computer Science.
• Knowledge of C++, Java, Python and Linux; ability to learn new technologies quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist and participate in requirements, design, development and testing of a key feature in the USS-DSW including development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
• Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
• Participate in daily scrums, 2-3 week sprints, demonstrations and retrospective ceremonies.
• Work includes front and back end development.
