Job summary

SEACORP in Newport, RI is seeking an entry level Software Engineer I to join a multidisciplinary team developing software for military systems and to pursue a DoD Secret clearance. This role offers exposure to full software lifecycle and collaboration with government personnel.

You will participate in design, development, testing and documentation, and contribute to both front-end and back-end tasks while engaging in daily scrums and 2–3 week sprints. This position requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with concentration in Computer Science.
• Experience with C++, Java, Python and Linux; familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively.
• Willingness to obtain DoD Secret Clearance and U.S. citizenship if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in requirements, design, development and testing of key software features.
• Design, code, test, integrate and document software solutions.
• Engage in daily scrums, 2–3 week sprints, demos and retrospectives.
• Work on front-end and back-end development across systems.
