Job summary

BurnBot, based in South San Francisco, is seeking a software engineer early in career to join a hands-on robotics team building hardware-aware software. You'll work across the stack with a mentor on autonomy tooling, backend services, operator interfaces, and data pipelines, with your code deployed to field machines within weeks.

Requirements include 0–5 years of experience, strong fundamentals in Python, C++, TypeScript, Go, or Rust, and a BS in computer science or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of experience; new graduates welcome.
• Strong fundamentals in at least one language: Python, C++, TypeScript, Go, or Rust.
• Evidence you can build something and finish it.
• Willingness to travel and work onsite with field deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end from design to ship.
• Develop tooling and tests to speed up the team.
• Perform field data triage and debugging on live machines.
• Fix real bugs on actual hardware.
