Job summary

SkillStorm is seeking new graduates and career changers with a technical background for a structured software development path. You will complete 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training on real team projects, then transition to deployment with a Fortune 100 client or government agency on day one.

You’ll work with Java or C#, data structures, databases, and SQL, contributing to application development, testing, and documentation while expanding your professional skills and security clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
• At least one year of technical work experience.
• Fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases/SQL, OO development in Java or C#.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve applications using client languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Produce clean, efficient, well-organized code that meets professional standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and provide technical support.
• Participate in code reviews and provide/receive feedback.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications with stakeholders.
• Assist with testing and deployments and keep documentation current.
• Stay updated on industry tools and practices through training.

SkillStorm develops technology talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. You'll start with 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training on real team-based projects, then deploy straight to an enterprise or government client from your first day on assignment. You're not paying tuition. This is a salaried role with a defined path from qualified candidate to deployed professional.

We're looking for people at the start of their technical careers, including recent graduates and career changers with a technical background, who have the fundamentals, the motivation, and an interest in a structured route into enterprise software development.

Are you a fit?

You probably qualify if you have either of the following:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related technical field
• At least one year of technical work experience

You'll also need a working grasp of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and object-oriented development in a language like Java or C#.
