Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking a 2027 Software Engineer I (Electronic Systems) to contribute to simulators and automated test equipment. You will develop, enhance, and maintain software in C, C++, and C# within a cross-functional lab environment.

This entry-level role targets students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS, with OO analysis/design experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Ruggedized tools and tests develops and produced RF and EO/IR devices that help insure that military aircraft can safely perform their missions. These devices test the communications and aircraft survivability equipment that keep the warfighter in the air

The A2PATS provides real RF simulations of signals and effects a radar receiver would experience when in operational use

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Develop,enhanceand maintain software code for advanced simulators and automated test equipment

Design and maintain applications in various software languages, including C, C++, C#, etc

Work in a cross-functional team and laboratory environment

Qualifications

Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering /CIS/MIS or a related field

Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) / Object Oriented Design (OOD) experience

This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
