Job summary

SEA CORP in Middletown, RI is seeking an entry to mid-level Software Engineer I/II to analyze user needs and develop software solutions. The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS/CE/EE and 1–3 years of experience.

You will work with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software, and you will develop and maintain software documentation. The ideal candidate is proficient in C++, UML, and a Linux development environment, with experience using Qt and DDS.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science.
1–3 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in C++ and UML; Linux development environment; experience with Qt, DDS, and software documentation (SRS/SDD).

Responsibilities

Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
Collaborate with project management, logistics, security, and other teams to integrate hardware and software systems.
Maintain databases within an application area.
Modify software to correct errors or adapt to new hardware or interfaces.
Analyze information to determine installation or modification requirements.
Consult with engineering staff to resolve technical issues and define specifications.
Direct software programming and development of documentation.
Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis.
Communicate project status and technical considerations with customers and other departments.
Prepare reports on project specifications and activity.
