Job summary

Hoplite's Tier 1 Security Operations Center Analyst role is an entry-level opportunity based in Bozeman, MT. You will be trained on our systems and processes to monitor networks, logs, and cloud workloads, triage alerts, document findings, and escalate incidents per procedure.

No prior cybersecurity experience is required; candidates must be US citizens, able to pass a federal background check, and commit to overnight or weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be able to pass a Federal background check.
• Must live in or close to Bozeman, MT.
• Possess a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to communicate clearly in high stress situations.
• Ability to interact with customers through written tickets and phone calls.

Responsibilities

• 24×7 Monitoring: Continuously observe security events from customer networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud workloads via centralized tools.
• Analysis & Triage: Investigate alerts and logs to determine validity and severity.
• Documentation: Record analysis steps, findings, and decisions in our ticketing system.
• Escalation: Follow defined procedures to elevate confirmed or high-risk incidents to incident responders or client contacts.
