Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join their Richmond, VA office. The new hire will perform various civil engineering tasks, including grading and roadway design, while working with a Professional Engineer to prepare project deliverables.
This role requires a BS degree in Civil Engineering, with a preference for candidates who are EIT certified or have relevant design experience. Ideal candidates will be proficient in AutoCAD and demonstrate strong communication skills.
Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join our Richmond, VA office. The Junior Engineer will perform a variety of civil engineering functions in support of a growing office. This staff engineer must be flexible, able to work independently, technologically savvy, and client focused.
Civil/Site development including grading design; roadway design; storm water management systems design; sanitary sewer design, water design, and water reuse design; and erosion and sediment control design for private, municipal, state, and federal clients.
Work with a Professional Engineer in preparing all associated drawing packages, deliverables, calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
Collaborate with design teams in other disciplines to achieve project goals and deadlines.
Fast‑paced work ranging from general civil engineering duties to technical tasks that require strong communication and capabilities in AutoCAD, Civil3D, ICPR, VADOT, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam.
Position requires learning and becoming proficient in Dewberry engineering practices, standards, and other Dewberry‑specific software programs.
