Job summary

Astro Pak is seeking an entry-level Associate Shop Technician to support chemical cleaning and passivation processes at our facilities. You will assist with equipment setup, operation, and maintenance while following strict safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading equipment, testing and cleaning gear, and handling various chemicals in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow within a national leader in precision cleaning.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of technical training or related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and communicate clearly.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and wear PPE including respirators.
• Basic math skills and moderate computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, install and operate equipment connected to customer systems with PPE.
• Load and unload vehicles with equipment and chemicals for jobs.
• Test, clean and maintain company equipment after job sites.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Handle chemicals including citric, caustic, and hazardous substances.
• Inspect, ship and receive customer parts with care.
• Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete safety training, including OSHA certifications.
• Follow safety policies and 5S standards.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace; assist Operations Manager as needed.
