Job summary

Astro Pak Corporation is seeking an entry-level Associate Shop Technician to support chemical cleaning and passivation processes at Astro Pak facilities. You will work under Shop Leadership, perform equipment setup, operation, and maintenance, and ensure safety standards and procedures are followed.

The role requires flexibility for overtime, weekends, and short-notice call-ins, with training provided and opportunities for skill growth within a highly safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to read and follow instructions with clear communication.
• One year of technical training or related experience or equivalent.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and wear PPE (including respirators) and follow safety procedures.
• Basic math skills and moderate computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid Medical DOT certificate or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Set up, install, and operate Astro Pak equipment connected to customer systems while wearing proper PPE.
• Load and unload vehicles with required equipment and chemicals for jobs.
• Test, clean, and maintain company equipment after job sites.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Safely handle chemicals including citric and caustic substances.
• Manage customer parts, including inspection, shipping, and receiving.
• Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and follow safety policies.
