Job summary

Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor, with on-site cleaning of high-purity systems and a Cleanroom facility footprint. The Associate Shop Technician supports chemical cleaning and passivation processes under Shop Leadership, handling setup, operation, and maintenance while meeting safety standards.

Role requires safety training, DOT certification or ability to obtain one, and physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• One year of technical training or related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, strong verbal and written communication.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Set up, install, and operate equipment connected to customer systems for chemical cleaning with PPE
• Load and unload vehicles with equipment and chemicals for jobs
• Test, clean, and maintain equipment
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
• Safely handle chemicals including citric, caustic, and other hazardous substances
• Manage customer parts including inspection, shipping, receiving
• Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Complete safety training including OSHA certifications
• Follow company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain clean, organized workspace per 5S standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Operations Manager
