Job summary

Astro Pak is hiring an Associate Shop Technician to support chemical cleaning and passivation processes in its facilities. The role involves equipment setup, operation, and maintenance under Shop Leadership, with emphasis on safety and attention to detail.

OT, weekends, and short-notice call-ins are possible. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, testing and maintaining equipment, handling chemicals, and ensuring a clean, organized workspace per 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math and computer proficiency (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• High school diploma or GED, technical training or AA degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, install, and operate Astro Pak equipment connected to customer systems with PPE.
• Load and unload vehicles with required equipment and chemicals.
• Test, clean, and maintain company equipment after job sites.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Handle various chemicals safely, including citric and caustic.
• Manage customer parts with care: inspection, shipping, and receiving.
• Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete required safety training and OSHA certifications.
• Follow company safety policies and 5S standards.
