Job summary

Pref-Tech is seeking an entry-level Security Technician to support installation and configuration of access control, IP and analog video systems, intrusion systems, and related door devices in Corpus Christi.

You will assist with wiring, testing, and documenting systems, while following safety standards. The role requires a high school diploma, a TX driver’s license, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs; OSHA training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and ability to obtain TX DPS Security License.
• Must be 18+ with valid TX driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Experience with low voltage systems or security installations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing access control, intrusion, and camera systems.
• Troubleshoot cabling, readers, door contacts, and cameras.
• Test systems using multi-meter and verify continuity/resistance.
• Follow safety standards during all installations.
• Document work and communicate progress effectively.
