Job summary

SGS Reno laboratory is seeking an entry-level Sample Management Technician to join the Sample Management Team. You will receive samples, prepare bottle kits, deliver to the lab, and manage storage and disposal while maintaining accurate documentation and a professional client-facing approach.

Key duties include using LIMS for bottle records, applying labels, and ensuring proper sample handling per SOPs. This role emphasizes customer service to internal and external clients and may involve some

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Advanced English language skills (Required).
• Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull upwards of 50 lbs on a constant basis (Required).
• Experience in an environmental laboratory (Preferred).
• Associate degree in science-related field (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Receive samples and prepare bottle kits for clients.
• Deliver samples to the lab and organize storage areas.
• Document receipt and temperatures and maintain chain of custody.
• Create jobs and enter bottle records in LIMS.
• Label samples and manage receiving, storage, and disposal.
• Provide friendly service to internal and external clients.
